Cookie Policy.
A clear explanation of browser storage, WordPress cookies, optional measurement tools, and choices available when visiting the official Onooks website.
This policy covers documented WordPress behavior and third-party categories without pretending an unverified provider or cookie is active on every visit.
Cookies and similar browser storage
This Cookie Policy applies to www.onooks.org, the website for the Onooks (OOKS) cryptocurrency project. It explains what cookies and comparable device-storage technologies do and how their use depends on the page, website functions and visitor choices.
A cookie is a small data record stored by your browser. Websites may also use local storage, session storage, pixels or script identifiers. First-party cookies originate from this site; third-party cookies or storage may originate from external services that are actually loaded on a particular page.
Important distinction: a link to an exchange, blockchain explorer, charting website or wallet application does not, by itself, set that external provider’s cookies on Onooks.org. Visiting the external site or loading an embedded element may expose you to that provider’s technology and privacy terms.
Why different cookie categories exist
Technical cookies supporting authentication, secure administration, access controls or a requested website function.
Optional settings such as cookie choices, interface language or remembered preferences, when those features are enabled.
Measurement tools that may count visits and page interactions. The exact provider and cookie set depend on the live configuration.
Third-party tags, videos, market widgets or marketing storage if such services are enabled and loaded.
The table below identifies standard WordPress cookie families that can appear when their corresponding functions are used. It is not a claim that every cookie appears for every Onooks.org visitor. Installed plugins and tag configurations can add or remove cookies.
Standard WordPress cookies and their functions
Onooks.org uses a WordPress-based website. WordPress has documented cookie families for sign-in, administrator preferences, commenting and password-protected content. Ordinary visitors do not necessarily receive account-management cookies.
| Cookie or pattern | When it may appear | Typical duration / function |
|---|---|---|
wordpress_test_cookie |
When the login page is used | Session; checks whether the browser accepts cookies. |
wordpress_logged_in_[hash] |
After WordPress sign-in | Normally two days, or up to fourteen days with “Remember Me”; keeps the authenticated session. |
wordpress_sec_[hash] |
Secure WordPress sign-in | Normally two days or fourteen with “Remember Me”; protects admin authentication. |
wp-settings-[user]wp-settings-time-[user] |
Registered/administrator preferences | Typically about one year; remembers interface settings. |
comment_author_[hash]comment_author_email_[hash]comment_author_url_[hash] |
If comments are enabled and the visitor opts to remember details | Typically up to roughly one year; retains comment form preferences. |
wp-postpass_[hash] |
If password-protected posts exist and are accessed | Typically about ten days; remembers access to protected content. |
The names include variable portions ([hash] or [user]), and exact lifetimes may differ if configured by the site administrator or a plugin. Some WordPress functions may be unavailable to the public.
Analytics, advertising and measurement
Analytics and advertising services are configuration-dependent. Onooks.org may use analytics, advertising or performance tools when enabled by the site operator. A publicly visible page is not sufficient evidence that a particular Google Analytics, AdSense, advertising network or tracking provider is active in every browser session.
If Google Analytics 4 is installed and permitted, commonly associated identifiers may include _ga and _ga_*. Advertising technologies may use their own identifiers on third-party domains. These are examples of provider technology, not a confirmed inventory of cookies currently placed by Onooks.org.
Where consent is required, non-essential analytics, marketing and advertising storage must be handled through valid consent controls before use. If advertising is activated, the actual advertising and CMP configuration should be audited and disclosed accordingly.
Crypto widgets, external links and wallet tools
The site refers to Ethereum, OOKS, third-party exchanges and token information providers. An external chart, video, market-data widget or social embed may set cookies or other storage if the provider’s resources are loaded. Such services have their own privacy and cookie policies.
Following a link to a decentralized exchange or connecting a wallet in an external application may disclose information such as a public wallet address and network metadata to that third party. Browser-cookie storage is separate from public blockchain transaction records, which can remain visible independently of cookie choices.
Never enter a recovery phrase or private key into a website or contact form. For additional safety information, see our Security & Scam Prevention page.
Your consent and website preferences
Essential cookies needed to deliver a requested feature may operate without optional marketing or analytics consent where an applicable legal exemption exists. Non-essential storage should be used only with a lawful basis and, where required, your prior consent.
If a cookie-consent notice is presented by the site, use its options to accept, reject or change optional categories. You may withdraw consent through that interface when provided. There is no simulated “change preferences” button on this page: publishing policy text does not install a consent-management system or block tracking scripts.
For a question about cookies, an objection or a request related to the website’s data use, contact [email protected].
Cookie duration, retention and third-party notices
Session cookies ordinarily expire at session end. Persistent cookies remain until their expiry or deletion, although browser behavior and device settings can shorten retention. Actual durations depend on the provider and live site setup.
Third parties may process technical identifiers, browser/device signals or analytics events in other countries, subject to their own policies and applicable legal rules. See the Onooks Privacy Policy for broader information about personal information and privacy rights.
How to view, block or delete cookies
Use the address-bar site-information control or Privacy & Security settings to inspect stored cookies and website data for onooks.org.
Remove stored cookies or local storage for this domain. This can sign you out or reset preferences.
Use your browser’s tracking protection or third-party-cookie controls. Some embeds and login services may be affected.
If the website displays a consent manager, use it to withdraw or change optional permissions. Browser controls remain available independently.
Policy changes and contact
This policy may be amended when the WordPress configuration, third-party integrations, cookie settings or relevant legal requirements change. The update date appears at the top of the page.
